Fluid Power Valve Technologies is a South African manufacturer of slurry knife gate valves for mining, mineral processing and heavy industry. Since 2006 we have built valves engineered for abrasive, high-wear service — supplied with shorter lead times and at more competitive prices than imported equivalents. Every valve we manufacture carries the “ACE” casting mark, identifying it as a Fluid Power Valve Technologies valve.
We proudly manufacture Clarkson-type Knife Gate Valves in both Wafer (WGV/KGD) and Flanged (FGV/KGA) configurations — the Wafer range from DN50mm to DN700mm and the Flanged range from DN80mm to DN750mm. Interchangeable sleeves and parts across the range keep maintenance simple and give you flexibility on site. For aggressive slurries, our own in-house designed Polyurethane-lined Knife Gate Valve (SGV) is available from DN50mm to DN750mm and is compatible with ANSI, BS, SABS and BS10 Table 1 drilling standards.

Polyurethane Knife Gate Valve — our own in-house OEM design
A one-piece body with a high-performance Polyline-Urethane lining, built for aggressive slurries with excellent abrasion and hydrolysis resistance in wet and dry service. The smooth, cavity-free bore resists slurry build-up and reduces head loss.

Flanged Knife Gate Valve — interchangeable with Clarkson KGA
A double-seat design with replaceable seat liners, no gland to maintain and no seat cavity where solids can collect. Bi-directional, bubble-tight shut-off; all spares interchangeable with the Clarkson KGA series.

Wafer Knife Gate Valve — interchangeable with Clarkson KGD
A compact, double-seated wafer design with no metal parts in contact with the slurry and no clogged bonnet to impede flow. Bubble-tight and bi-directional; all spares interchangeable with the Clarkson KGD series.
